Dr. Tom Margius is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia. He worked as a computer programmer for 2 years before pursuing his interest in Optometry. A graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (currently, Salus University), he subsequently interned at the Gesell Institute in New Haven, CT. He then worked at the National Institutes of Health before moving to Connecticut. He started his practice in Milford, CT in 1989 and became a board certified Diplomate by the American Board of Optometry in 2013. A past president of the Laurel Bicycle Club and an active cyclist (past National USCF TT Silver Medalist and 6-time PA TT State Champion-Tom Margevicius), he enjoys the Connecticut flats, hills, and valleys. He notes that "the older I get, the faster I was!" but still enjoys riding a two wheeler.
A past president of the Milford Rotary Club, he has photographed many Rotarians and Rotary functions for the club with many of his "candids" on the MilfordRotary.org website. A Cantor at Christ Redeemer Church in Milford, he and his wife, Sue, are active parishioners enjoying the community, fellowship, and spirituality of the parish.
Dr. Tom is a solo practitioner who lives and works in Milford and is actively involved in the community. They have two grown children and a daughter-in-law as well as grandaughter that bring them great joy!
